Concerning the message in the church bulletin regarding sending a card to recovering servicemen....Last year we sent a card and it was sent back.

Walter Reed Army Medical Center will not accept mail that is not addressed to a specific serviceperson. HOWEVER, the good news is that you can send a card through the American Red Cross who will deliver it to a recovering soldier. The address is:

Holiday Mail for Heroes
PO Box 5456
Capitol Heights Maryland 20791-5456

It's time again to order your poinsettias in Honor or Loving Memory of someone dear to your heart. The order forms need to be placed in the pocket on the office door or collection plate no later than December 7. The cost will be $6 or less for a 6" pot.

The Good Shepherd Classroom has an abundance of FREE books for your winter reading enjoyment. Please stop by and enlighten your mind.

Christmas is a time to be happy! . A time for celebrating and sharing. For God stoops down to be one of us, born as a poor baby so that we can be rich.

He does not leave us to get along as best we can. He joins us where we are.

God is committed to us. Christmas is proof that God cares. That is why we celebrate - and show our care in turn to those who need it.

Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.

Psalm 55:17

I John 3:1

Behold what manner of love the Father has given unto us.

That we should be called the children of God.
