"All Things New"

Youth Group News -May 2011

Inspired by 2 Corinthians 5:17, we are the ALL THINGS NEW youth group. This verse in the Bible tells us that "if any man is in Christ he is a new creation, the old is gone the new has come."

If you are in 7 through 12 grade, you are invited to join 'All Things New' youth group in the ATN Cafe' each Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm to worship Christ through devotions, music, games and just being together! Let's gather on May 4, 11, 18, and 25. Each week (until summer) the Cafe' will open for youth at 3:00. From 3:00 to 6:00 the youth have the option to hang out, do homework,  play games and to have a light dinner IN THE CAFE". Youth meetings will now begin at 6:00 pm each week (not 6:30).

In celebration of the National Day of Prayer, together the community will read through the entire Bible together on May 2, 3, 4 and 5 from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day. The All Things New youth group is scheduled to read on Wednesday, May 4 from 3:45 PM to 5:30 PM. Youth can show up at any time to read in 15 increments. This will all take place at the Edward Cherry Amphitheatre at the DuBois City Park.  (Do not come to the church until 5:45. Cafe will open at that time).

On May 11 and 25 you have the opportunity to volunteer your time to help set up, serve and clean up for the Soup Kitchen any time from 3:00 to 6:00.

June 1 we will have a graduation party for all those seniors in All Things New in the Cafe'. We will celebrate with pizza, pop and cake. Also this will be a great night to invite any new youth ‘going into 7th' to 12th grades. We are trying an early move up day to give the new kids an opportunity to have a terrific summer with everyone so they can ease into the church setting at the Café’.
